Bombing in Ankara - a prayer for peace

The news today of bomb explosions in Ankara, Turkey, cause us to pray for peace. We pray also for the ongoing safety of LCMS personnel in the region, all who have been accounted for and are safe.

Heavenly Father, God of all concord, it is Your gracious will that Your children on earth live together in harmony and peace. Defeat the plans of all those who would stir up violence and strife, destroy the weapons of those who delight in war and bloodshed and according to Your will, end all conflicts in the world. Remember in Your mercy the people of Turkey and bring order to the chaos following the bomb blasts and peace to the city of Ankara. Guide the rulers of city and state as they lead in the midst of this terror. Provide care for the wounded and comfort for the grieving. Bless and keep our personnel in this region. Open wide the doors for Your Word of peace to be proclaimed across Turkey. In Jesus Name.
