The Lord be with you
We started the day in Flagstaff and ended it in Las Vegas, NV. On the way to Las Vegas we visited the Grand Canyon and the town that helped inspired the movie Cars. It is on historic Route 66. We crossed over the Hover Dam to get to Vegas. After getting into Vegas we walked up and down the strip. All in all, we did a lot of walking today. It should be obvious where the following pictures were taken.
Blessings in Christ,
Pastor John Rickert
The Grand Canyon is breath-taking, as always. We apparently left right before the wildfires began and some roads in were closed! The small town of Seligman (where the inspiration for the Pixar movie Cars came from) was a fun unplanned stop. The only good thing John could say about Vegas was that they had the most efficient street cleaners he'd ever heard of; the streets & sidewalks had been littered with paper the evening before, advertising every event, sinful or otherwise. In the morning, when we went to breakfast, there wasn't a scrap of paper to be seen anywhere!
