Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ. Colossians 4: 2-3.

Dear Mission Prayer Partners,

Sunday for the City will take place in one week. Throughout the SED, members will gather to pray for the welfare of the cities, communities, and neighborhoods of our District.  There is much to place before the Lord as we gather for this purpose. Across the District I am hearing of congregations who will be walking in their neighborhoods on Sunday. I give thanks to God that we can joi n hearts and hands and feet as together we pray with one voice for the 32 million who live with, in, and among us.

Please remember in your prayer these days those who will be prayerwalking, the people of our cities, communities, and neighborhoods, and the power of the Gospel to restore lives and bring God's kingdom to the places where we live and dwell.

Lord, give me Your eyes to see the people in this place as You do. Strengthen within each one the presence of Your love. Where You do not reside, I pray that the power of Your Holy Spirit will stir the heart and open the mind to Your Word.

I pray that the powers darkness and evil would be banned from these streets and dwellings, so that families may know the joy of living without fear, without addiction, without poverty, without racism, without violence.

Lord God, protect your people, especially those who call this place home, bring them to salvation and a deepened faith walk with You. Fill their homes with grace, mercy, an  d Your Holy Spirit. In your mighty name, we boldly pray. Amen.

Thank you for your mission prayer support. They are making an eternal difference.

10:02 am Prayers for the Harvest and Workers
Don't forget to set your cell phones alarm/alert to 10:02 a.m. and pray for the Harvest and Workers. Luke 10:2 Jesus told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." More than 32 million people within the boundaries of the SED do not know the everyday joys of knowing Jesus. Use us Lord, lead us to serve you in this mission field.
