The LCMS offers resources for use in congregations, schools and homes so we may remember and pray for our brothers and sisters who suffer in body and soul for confessing Christ.

The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod offers the following resources for use in congregations, schools and homes so we may remember and pray for our brothers and sisters who suffer in body and soul for confessing Christ. These resources and more are available at lcms.org/socialissues/persecution.
  • “Making a Faithful Confession” — LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison offers encouragement and opportunities to help persecuted Christians
  • The Persecuted Church — Worship resources including suggested Propers for the Divine Service, the Litany, hymn suggestions and a bulletin insert
  • “Shaped by the Cross” — June/July 2014 issue of The Lutheran Witness focuses on persecution
  • “Suffering, Persecution and Martyrdom as a Mark of the Church” — September 2014 issue of the Journal of Lutheran Mission focuses on the “holy cross” and missions
