Shrove Tuesday
The Lord be with you
The past several days have been very busy and I doubt things
will slow down any time before Easter. That is why this post about Ash Wednesday
is being posted so late. Nonetheless, I want to let everyone know that we will
be having Ash Wednesday services. Along with the traditional imposition of ash,
we will also celebrate the Lord’s Supper. We will have two services, one at 12:15 and the second at 7:00 pm. The “noon” service is shorter and we sing only one
hymn. This is an excellent opportunity to worship on Ash Wednesday for those
who no longer want to drive at night. The evening service is preceded by a soup
supper (6:16). Choir practice
follows the evening service.
