Our First Walking Goal is Met

The Lord be with you

As the members of Lamb of God know, we are being encouraged to walk our neighborhoods, to keep track of how far we walk each week and to report our distance each Sunday. As we walk, we get a chance to meet and chat with our neighbors. Now I know that not everyone has gotten into the habit of reporting, but we will keep encouraging you to do so.

One way we are encouraging everyone is by imagining that we are actually traveling through the state and stopping at each of our sister congregations. The first stop as we are “walking the churches” is the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Greenville. Even with our limited reporting, it is exciting to see that we have reached that first church. Good Shepherd is one of the upstate LC-MS congregations we regularly join in special worship service. Their pastor is Rev. Steve Saxe. If you would like to know a bit more about them, you can visit their internet site at http://www.lcgs.org/index.htm.

Below is our "Walking the Churches" map. A copy is also posted on the bulletin board in the hallway, along with the distances between churches and the form where you can report how far you have walked in your neighborhoods.
